The Recital is literary club hosted by Georgina Langford and Evie Barker.
We host bi-monthly socials featuring a discussion of our recommended reading, a book swap (bring one, take one home), live poetry and hosted Q&A, finishing with a poetry and prose open mic. Expect beautiful vibes, an exceptional playlist and the opportunity to meet others in the local literary community. The Recital is an LBGTQI+ inclusive event.

Future events will take varying forms; we want to create the effervescence of conversation in beautiful dimly-lit settings, and to also indulge the quiet collectiveness of reading in silence as a group. The concept is simultaneously open-ended and neatly tied with a velvet ribbon; the thread running through it will always be like-minded connection.
